Love story by the creative and beautiful @kimleow - hoping lights from this picture will bring some lights and smiles into your day too! :)
I’m one of those lucky ones who married her high school sweetheart.
We got together in 2004 after a year of courtship. I was still very unsure about him back then but on his side, he was certain that I was THE ONE. I remember on my 17th birthday, he wrote to me saying that he WILL propose to me at the Eiffel Tower in Paris someday. The 17 year old girl in me freaked out a little but I shrugged it off immediately. That’s what they always say, don’t they? But fast forward ten years later, guess what? He surprised me with a trip to Paris and kept true to his word. He proposed at Parc Champ De Mars with the magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower. As cliché as this may sound, I felt like the luckiest girl alive and it was the perfect proposal. A year later, we had the wedding of our dreams (#kimjas2014) and we’ve never been happier.
What’s even better than my proposal is our marriage now. It’s NOT all butterflies and rainbows but it sure feels close to perfect because we always made it a priority to accommodate each other in any way we can. We learnt a lot through our 10 years of on and off LDR. And we both tried our best to be the best version of ourselves for each other. That’s why people think we fit like a glove. Truth is, we made us fit together.
How many times have I witnessed him go out of his way to make me happy. With him I’ve learned that true love is all about selflessness...and it’s totally worth it.
