Tasteful interior never fails to make my heart flutters.
And if you know me well, you know i love the classic touch. White, grey, nude, beige - basically the lighter the better. My sister said my taste is boring, but really - I think deep in her heart she meant to say, classy. Haha. I mean how can you say these pictures ain't pretty:

But lately I'm seeing all that classy color combo, with a touch of black and boyyy, it makes a worlddd of difference!
So for my future home, I'm putting sprinkling some black a well noted agenda. Black window frames and doors instead of white, dark flooring instead of light (very practical too!), furniture and fittings with fine lines of black to make it pop, and the list goes on.
I'm already planning dark flooring for my new home - thank goodness for wood tiles as an alternative (and cheaper) option to solid wood. That black windows though - no matter how sexy they look like in Pinterest, is still in my "maybe list" because in Malaysia you would also need grilles to go with those beautiful windows, so it might overkill the mojo hehe.
If I don't have the guts to go for black windows, in the spirit of embracing black, I might take up this superfine, black lined curtain idea for my living room!
Now to the reality.
*pulls self back to planet earth*
I just had a meeting with our architect and engineer on our new home (my sister and I are building our homes from scratch, exciting times!). They came up with revised and additional estimates, which left my sister and I looking at each other with a big gulp. The struggle is real guys, and as much as you strive to have your dream home (whyyyy was I ever introduced to Pinterest, whyyy), you will need to have some serious talk with your bank account and come to your senses...before you're left with a hole in your pocket!
