I started blogging when I was 19, back when Friendster was the in-thing and Facebook was just the new kid on the block.

The blog lived on for the next 10 years - a hugely debatable statement as I began to blog less and less over the years. I lost count of how many times I promised myself I would blog once I put my son to sleep, only to find myself snoring right next to him - until the alarm rings off at 6 am the next day - a reminder for prayer and another start at work.

That's me today, ten years down the road. Married, with two little soldiers - trying to set my foot as an accountant in the corporate world,.

It wasn't until my son Musa turned one, did I realised there were so many memories of him growing up that I wanted to pen down - but never did. They remained just a fraction of my own memory, some still acutely fresh while others are starting to feel a little distant.

I knew I needed to start blogging again.

This blog defines a huge part of me. Not only it jots down the my daily encounters, the  high and low moments of my life but it is also a platform for self discovery and pursuing my passions. I have been writing and sharing ever since I was 18 years old and I have always find inspiration in beautiful interiors and classy homes. It is for these reasons I dedicate the tabs TRUE Women and TRUE Interiors ( @thetrueinteriors ) to share real life stories of women from all over the world and a portfolio of interiors which I find inspiring. If you have a story / picture to contribute - feel free to drop me a line at the Contact page, I would love to hear from you. Who knows, maybe someday I may even design your dream home :)

I hope I will have something interesting to share, if not to remember, so that I am able to read this blog one day, and look back with a smile, remembering a life well lived <3
